Influential Campaigns have the ability to change the way the general public views something. Usually this is a political type of attack in order for a president, governor, or other high ranking person in a corporation or government to win an election or be a leader of something. An attacker using a large scale campaign can easily utilize advertisements and bots to influence social media or websites around the world to promote these individuals.
Campaigns are heavily focused on changing your opinion to outweigh the polls for a leader. The easiest way to do this is by creating thousands of fake accounts through social media accounts such as Facebook. Attackers will look for large and popular social media websites to showcase their information and further post or comment on articles, in hopes to start a conversation or intermediate others about what they see and hear compared to others. There have been many cases that military personal have tried to use influential campaigns to scare other countries or jurisdictions about a particular topic such as starting wars or spys.
